This month’s SALT (Single Adults Learning Together) will be a Time of Testimony. We’ll use Paul’s example in scripture of how to craft and share your own story with others. We are adopting Mother’s Refuge in the month of May and would love your help! In addition to providing a Mother’s Day lunch to the mommas, we will be working at their property on Saturday, May 15, and Saturday, May 22. Both days we have blocked off 9:00am-3:00pm to work on several different areas. Serve opportunities include staining a deck, cleaning and organizing their kitchen, painting some rooms, cleaning up their yard, reorganizing their storage unit, and several handyman projects. …

Help us clean the headstones at Swan Lake in Grain Valley in preparation for Memorial Day weekend! We’ll need lots of weed eaters and people to brush off the headstones with brooms afterwards. This project will ensure that the men and women who served our country are given the dignity and respect they deserve for their sacrifice. Join us for our open house where you will get an opportunity to meet volunteers, your child’s new small group leaders, and enjoy a pancake breakfast with your family! This is a whole family event for parents to bring their children too and get to know who is teaching their kids, what their classes look like, and enjoy some pancakes as a family!

The Upper Room End of Year Bash will be on Wednesday, May 26 from 6:00-8:00pm. This will be a night filled with games and fun to end our school year. Don’t forget to bring some money for Snack Shack! This will be the last Upper Room until we kick off again in August.

The Student Ministry Team would like to invite our incoming 9th grade students through our recently graduated 12th grade students to South Dakota on June 27-July 2. This is our primary trip for our high schoolers this summer. This trip will be packed full of serve projects, spiritual encounters, fun, and much more! The Student Ministry team would like to invite our incoming 6th grade students through our incoming 8th grade students to Camp of the Good Shepherd located in Louisville, Nebraska from July 6-July 10. This will be BSCC’s first time attending this camp, but our Student Minister, Matt Stevens, has worked with them for years.
