Students of Summer

Guiding students into a fully devoted relationship with Jesus – Together!

The Student Ministry of Blue Springs Christian Church strives to help students grow in their love for God (Upper Room Worship), Love for People (Sunday and Upper Room Groups), and develop a Heart to Serve (Service).

There are so many issues tugging at the hearts of students today. Many are just simply looking for a place where they can be known, valued, loved, and find their purpose in life. For that reason, the Student Ministry of BSCC exists. We want to connect students to Christ and one another by challenging them to experience worship, connect them to a small group, and serve in ministry. We want students to engage and desire these things, because ultimately, they connect us with a God that satisfies. Come join us and discover with us the things that matter.

9:30 Class – Studying God’s Word

Sunday 9:30 – 10:30am
6th-8th Grade Students meet in room 106
9th-12th Grade Students meet in room 206

During class middle and high school students are challenged to develop spiritual habits that will grow their relationship with Christ. Our goal is to educate students in ways they can grow with Christ, transforming them into the person God wants them to be. Every Sunday students will encounter God by being challenged in their knowledge of Him, His Word, and His will for their lives. Come join us this Sunday!

Discipleship Groups (D-Groups)

This summer we are launching D-Groups! D-Groups will meet throughout the summer in gender and school level (Middle School & High School) specific groups to engage the Scriptures and have a ton of fun together. D-Groups are hosted in the homes of our volunteers from 6:30-8:00pm. There will be time to hangout, study Scripture, and pray together. Contact Nick to find out where your group meets!

Upper Room – Worship & Small Groups

Wednesday 6:30-8:15pm*
6th-12th Grade Students meet in Student Worship
*Upper Room meets while school is in session

Following Jesus’ ascension, the disciples immediately went back to the upper room to worship and experience community together. We believe this is a model we should follow as we guide students into full devotion with Jesus.

At Upper Room, we want students to have a real, relaxed and relational worship experience. We also want students to connect with their peers through gender and grade based Small Groups. In each group, committed adult mentors walk alongside our students as we journey toward Jesus together. Ultimately, Upper Room seeks to provide a place where students can experience authentic worship in a variety of ways and encounter biblical community in a small group of students their age.

Serve – BSCC, Community, World

Scripture teaches us that Jesus didn’t come to the Earth to be served but to serve (Mark 10:45). As His followers, He’s asked us to follow in His footsteps. We want to help students use their gifts and abilities to minister to others in the name of Christ. Our goal is for student to express the love of Christ through service to others. We want to help students connect into serve opportunities at BSCC, in the community, and in the world. If you’d like help finding serve opportunities, please contact Nick Vacca.
