Parent Cue for new student ministry sermon series

Hello Parents! During this series we are trying something a bit different instead of having a set of questions, we are going to give you a parent cue sheet that highlights every week of the sermon series. If you would like to have those questions for the sermon this week contact one of the student ministry staff and we would love to send you those questions.   CLICK HERE for the parent cue sheet for Plot Twist.

A Couple of Compassion Ideas

Hopefully compassion is on our hearts and minds right now after taking the previous three Sundays during our worship to learn how compassion is central to God’s character and to the mission Christ has given to us. The Holy Spirit is working in lots of wonderful ways through all of the acts of compassion that are occurring during our 12 On The Move projects. We will be celebrating all of this good news the first two Sundays of May. In…

Snap That Week 3 (Student ministry sermon series)

We have come to the end of the series called “Snap That”. This is a series that we really enjoyed, not only the people who got to speak but also for the students that got the chance to hear it and get challenged by it.   The last week focused on the fact that our sin changes our relationship with God. Lori, our one of the pastors on staff, spoke about how God is always the same. He has never…

We remembered last month’s memory verse (John 16:33B) and that it had two promises – the one we all remember, that Jesus has overcome the world, and the one we would rather not remember, that in this world we will have trouble. We don’t like trouble. We don’t…

Snap That (student ministry sermon Series)

Yesterday our student ministry started a sermon series called “Snap That”. “Snap That” is a three week look at The Garden of Eden, and how sin changes our relationships.  “Snap That” is an intentional play on words and reference to the popular messaging app “snapchat.”  Snapchat has been in the news quite a bit as the source of all kinds of inappropriate conversations and relationships. Part of the allure of the app is that you can send a picture or…
