Baptism Splash Sunday – October 5

Baptism Splash Sunday – October 5

On Sunday, October 5 we will continue in the series Risk by talking about the power and passion of the gospel. I can’t think of a better way to celebrate the Good News of Jesus than to take some time during each worship service to give anyone who has never been baptized the opportunity to do so. In Mark 16:16 Jesus said, “Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned.

Also, if you have ever wondered about being baptized again, we recommend you consider taking that faith step if 1 of these 2 scenarios applies to you: 1) if you did not understand the meaning of your baptism the first time; or 2) if you have not been baptized by immersion. If you decide to be baptized we will have plenty of clothes and towels ready, so all you’ll need to do is meet me over at Next Steps during the decision song. Or, if you want to let us know ahead of time you can contact Glen Nash at 229-7311 ext.228 / gnash@bscc.org.

If you have Middle School or High School students who are interested in baptism, Mickey and Danny are offering a Baptism Class for students this Sunday during the 9:30 service. You can contact Mickey mcarter@bscc.org or Danny ddavila@bscc.org for more information.

Please join me in praying for a powerful working of the Holy Spirit as we gather for worship on Baptism Splash Sunday, October 5.
